Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapoor withdraw divorce by mutual consent

27 Nov 2016

Recently Karisma Kapoor was spotted at the Family court in the city where she along with her former husband Sunjay Kapoor filed application to withdraw their ongoing case of divorce by mutual consent, few days ago. On November 27, the family court judge I J Nanda decided to dispose the petition of divorce by mutual consent after the two decided to file an application to withdraw it. Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapoor tied the knot in 2003 and after a decade of their marriage, in 2014, the two decided to legally part ways. Ever since the case has been filed, issues started brewing between the couple over the legal custody of their children, Samaira (10) and Kiaan (5). As of now, the case of divorce by mutual consent stands withdrawn and unless a fresh case of divorce is filed, the two remain to be husband and wife legally. The reason for this withdrawal, according to Karismas lawyer, was because Sunjay failed to comply with certain financial obligations towards their children. On the other hand, Sunjays lawyer maintained that there was no compliance from both parties.
