Sonam Kapoor to star in R. Balkis next starring Akshay Kumar

Though we havent seen her on the big screen after her much appreciated performance in Neerja Sonam Kapoor has signed a couple of films in the pipeline for release next year. Her third film is that of filmmaker R. Balkis next starring Akshay Kumar.Earlier we had mentioned that Akshay Kumar, for the first time, will be collaborating with R. Balki for his forthcoming film. And the two actors, Sonam and Akshay will be sharing screen space after Thank You (2011). However, the details of the characters that the two will be playing are being kept under wraps. Amitabh Bachchan too will be seen in a cameo in this slice-of-life film. We also hear that the film in question will have the entire crew of R. Balki along with his favourite composer Ilayaraaja and cinematographer PC Sriram. It is being said that Sonam Kapoor was very impressed with the script and will start shooting for the film next year. The actress next film is Veere Di Wedding , produced by her sister Rhea Kapoor and it also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan.On the other hand, the actress also has a small but pivotal role to play in the Sanjay Dutt biopic. Also, Akshay Kumar too is neck deep into work as he has been shooting for films like Jolly LLB 2 and Toilet-Ek Prem Katha and has signed films like Gold and Crack.
