Hrithik Roshan beats Aamir Khan, becomes highest advance taxpaying actor

The year 2016 may not have been great for Hrithik Roshan after the debacle of Mohenjo Daro and the controversy surrounding him about his alleged relationship with Kangna Ranaut.But, the actor sure knows how to stay in news. Hrithik Roshan has become the leading actor to pay the highest advance tax till mid-December. According to reports, Hrithik Roshan has seen a 1500 percent jump in his gross earning as compared to last year in the same quarter. He has paid an advance tax of Rs. 80 crores this time (till December 15, 2016) compared to Rs. 50 crores last year. He has left all his contemporaries behind who were leading the charts until September 2016. Reportedly Salman Khan was the leading tax-paying actor in Bollywood till September 2016 by paying an advance tax of Rs. 16 crores as compared to Rs. 11 crores paid during the same period, last year. Now, he has been pushed to the fourth position with Rs. 14 crores paid as tax. After Hrithik Roshan, Aamir Khan has grabbed the second position with Rs. 74 crores tax payment. Aamir Khans Dangal has hit the screens today and was happy to pay the advance tax of Rs. 3.7 crores until September of this year. Last year, the actor had just paid Rs 4.5 crores. This year, Ranbir Kapoor finally managed to give a box office success with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.On the third position is Ranbir who paid Rs. 37 crores as advance tax till December 2016. He had paid Rs. 7.8 crores as advance tax till September 2016. Last year, Akshay Kumar was ahead of Salman Khan and was in the lead of advance tax payers with Rs. 18 crores until September 2015 but now he has slipped to the fifth position with Rs. 10 crores paid to Income Tax Department. The sixth position has been bagged by an actress and it is none other than Bajirao Mastani star Deepika Padukone.She has paid an advance tax of Rs. 3 crores this time as compared to Rs 3.2 crores last year. Kareena Kapoor Khan bags the seventh position with Rs. 70 lakh paid to the department.
