Coffee With D postponed due to real D?

Amidst all the chaos and speculation about the release date of Sunil Grover-starrer, Coffee With D , the makers of the film finally announce a delay in the release of the film. It was scheduled to be the first release of the year 2017 but things havent been going as per the plan for the makers from the time of the release of the first trailer. While the threat calls, that have made them file an official Police complaint, seem like the obvious reason for the postponement in the release, the makers are remaining rather tight-lipped about the reason. Said director Vishal Mishra, The release of the film has been pushed due to unforeseen circumstances. Things havent been going exactly as per the plan, but we are just taking each day as it comes and hoping for the best. Producer Vinod Ramani and director Vishal have filed a complaint against getting repeated threat calls from underworld gangster Chhota Shakeels aids asking them to either delete the portions that make fun of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim in the film or not release the film at all. While the film has been passed through censor with minimal edits, we wonder if the underworld still has the highest say in what the masses get to watch in this country.
