Kajol to be the part time board member of Prasar Bharati

Known for her performances in films like Baazigar, Gupt, Dushman, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai among others, Kajol will now also be a part of Prasar Bharati as a part time board member. While there have been speculations about the same in the past, we hear that she was appointed as a part time board member on Friday, February 19 and she will continue to serve as a member until November 2021. From what we hear, Kajol will not only take up her position as a part time board member from this month but will also be participating in the upcoming meeting of Prasar Bharati Board on February 24. Readers may be aware that the Prasar Bharati board manages broadcasters Doordarshan and All India Radio (AIR). It is also being said, the soon-to-held meeting of the board will tackle several issues which includes the fact that both, Doordarshan and AIR has been functioning under the guidance of only interim heads. Besides Kajol, Shashi Shekhar Vempati who runs an online media company too has been appointed as one of the six part time board members of Prasar Bharati.
