Chandan Roy Sanyal out of Vivek Agnihotris Freedom

Vivek Agnihotri is one man who is happy and dejected at the same time. While on one hand, his long cherished dream Freedom is finally taking shape, on the other, he is upset because Chandan Roy Sanyal (one of the lead actors of the film) has quit his film to start shooting for Nikhil Advani's D- Day. He was so upset with Chandan walking out of his film that he started tweeting some uncomplimentary remarks about the actor, without dropping any names, of course.

The reason that's being stated for Chandan's exit is that he had signed D- Day much before he agreed to do Freedom. And since he was told that Freedom would start by end of year, he allotted his dates in October to D- Day. And when he was told by Vivek's team about the change in the schedule, he had to let one go, and he chose to do away with Freedom. When we spoke to Vivek, he said, "He had given dates to both the films, without informing me, which is so unprofessional. This is just not done. And just about ten hours before the shoot of our film, they came and informed us about this; we refused to take him in the film and I threw him out. It's not that he has backed out of the film; the fact is that I have thrown him out. I have got it on paper. On Sunday, Chandan came along with his manager to my office and was crying and pleading to kindly adjust the dates. But we just can't adjust the dates." And when asked about the replacement, pat came the reply from Vivek, "Yaar... Chandan Roy Sanyal is a character artist. My film is much bigger than him. I will let you know about his replacement soon."

Talking about this Chandan said, "It was a very simple dates clash. I wish that I was a part of the film. Nikhil's film's dates were clashing with those of Freedom. I am carrying a certain look in both the films, which was also coming in the way of both the films. All that I can say is that I am at a loss. I do regret not being a part of Freedom."

When asked about his role in D-Day, Chandan said, "In D-Day, I am playing a young drug lord."
