27 Mar 2017

Even though the Shashank Khaitan directed Badrinath Ki Dulhania has proved to be a smash hit at the Box-Office, the films hero Varun Dhawan landed himself in an unexpected controversy over a much talked about molestation scene in the film. Varun Dhawan, who has never spoken about his take on the issue, finally broke his silence recently. Speaking to the media recently, Varun Dhawan said that if two people out of ten do not like something that did not get counted as mass opinion. He added he was totally fine with the people who felt that way are entitled to their opinion. Citing an example of the film 3 Idiots , Varun Dhawan questioned that while many did not get offended to a characters confusion over a Hindi word for balatkar (rape), he finds it strange to see so many objecting to his scene, wherein the scene was meant to portray how his character Badris male ego gets shattered. While clarifying that while they did not mean to hurt anyones sentiments, he also apologised to those who found the scene offensive. On the films front, Varun Dhawan is presently shooting for David Dhawans Judwaa 2 , wherein he will be playing a double role for the very first time. The film stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu and will release on September 29, 2017. Additionally, Varun Dhawan will also be seen in Shoojit Sircars untitled next.
