Saira Banu and Jackie Shroff honoured with Raj Kapoor Awards

Veteran actress Saira Banu and Jackie Shroff have received one of the greatest honours. The actors were honoured with the prestigious Raj Kapoor Awards by the Maharashtra government. Cultural Affairs Minister Vinod Tawde announced on Wednesday that veteran actress Saira Banu was honoured with Raj Kapoor Jivangaurav Puraskar aka Lifetime Achievement award celebrating her cinematic journey. Vinod Tawde shared the details on his Twitter account saying, Congratulations to veteran actress Saira Banu ji on being selected for the award celebrating her cinematic journey and to Jackie Shroff for his contributions to Indian cinema. Jackie Shroff, on the other hand, was honoured with Raj Kapoor Vishesh Yogdaan Puraskar aka Special Contribution for his contribution to Indian cinema. Both the lifetime achievement awards carry a citation and cash of Rs 500,000 each, while both the special contribution awards carry a citation and Rs 300,000 in cash. Vinod Tawde said the awards will be given away at the upcoming 54th Maharashtra State Marathi Film Festival.
