Asha Bhosle's daughter Varsha commits suicide

Veteran playback singer Asha Bhosle's daughter Varsha committed suicide today morning by shooting herself in the head. Varsha was a political columnist and journalist based in Mumbai. She was 56 years old. In the past too, Varsha had tried committing suicide by taking an overdose of sleeping pills way back in 2008. Asha Bhosle, who was in Singapore for an award function when the incident happened, is rushing back to Mumbai. We offer our heartfelt condolences to Ashaji's family on this moment of grief.
