Not all is well with between the director and producers of this upcoming film

This was supposed to be a fun filled frothy musical entertainer. However, the process of its making hasnt been as sweet-n-saccharine as the makers would have wanted. Apparently, the director and his producers are not really seeing eye to eye around the final cut due to creative differences. The film in question is Sweetiee Weds NRI , the promo of which has just been unveiled. The film has been directed by Hasnain Hyderabadwala [ The Killer The Train, Jashn each of which he had co-directed with Raksha Mistry] who has started making films solo of late. Though he delivered the final product a few months back, there is a new edit that has been put together by the producers without him really being in loop. As a result, Hasnain isnt really pleased and situation came to such a standstill that he didnt even attend the promo launch of the film that took place on Friday. As per sources, Tariq Mohammad who is not just the writer of the film but also one of the producers felt that his vision was compromised when Hasnain translated it for screen. On the other hand Hasnain felt that as a director it was his prerogative around how to bring the written word best into the visual medium. However, since many conversations between them didnt quite result in their arrival on the same page, the disconnect only broadened further. This is the reason why now Tariqs name also appears on the films credits as the creative director. Meanwhile, Hasnain has distanced himself entirely from the film and though the producers have made an effort to convince him further that he stays on board, the director is unrelenting. As for the cast of the film Himansh Kohli [ Yaariyan Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai ] and Zoya Afroz [ The Xpos ] they are in a precarious situation since Sweetiee Weds NRI is an important affair for them to further their career in Bollywood. One just hopes that this stalemate ends soon and the team gets back to working together towards the eventual release of the film on June 2.
