Salman & Saif get summoned by Jodhpur court

11 Dec 2012

The black buck case has raised its hood once again. Salman Khan and three other actors were summoned yesterday by Jodhpur's local court to appear on February 4. Speaking about this, Hastimal Saraswat (Defense Counsel) said that while the lower court had framed Salman under applicable sections of the Wildlife Act, the Arms Act and the IPC, others including Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, Neelam, Dushyant Singh and Dinesh Gawre, were framed under the Wildlife Act and the IPC.

In lieu of the revision petition filed in the session court, while Salman Khan got discharged from Sections 27 of the Arms Act and 148 of IPC, others were discharged of Section 51 of Wildlife Act and both under Sections 147 and 149 of IPC. Readers may recollect that while the appeals against these sentences (by Salman and state government), are pending in the High Court, the trial will now commence in the lower court with the revised charges on February 4.
