Amole Gupte to head CFSI

12 Dec 2012

Post Nandita Das' announcement to return to filmmaking, thus relinquishing the title of the chairperson of the Children's Film India Society, we hear that Amole Gupta has been confirmed for the position. Sources from the I&B Ministry state that Gupte, who wrote the critically acclaimed Taare Zameen Par and directed Stanley Ka Dabba, is perfect for the post of the CFSI chairman.

An ecstatic Gupte who received his official confirmation letter as the Chairman yesterday is already contemplating his new role. However, he states that it will be hard to better Das who has been doing a great job of heading the CFSI, especially post the success of their latest film Gattu .
