DoP of Special Chabbis and Queen passes away

Even as the year end is just a few days away, the storm of deaths continued its sway on Bollywood. The 39 year old cinematographer Bobby Singh set for heavenly abode on Tuesday evening. Bobby was one of Bollywood's youngest cinematographers. Reports have it that this Director of Photography (DOP) passed away post an asthmatic attack which was triggered by a seafood lunch in Goa, where he was holidaying with actor Sanjay Suri.

Bobby, who started his career as an assistant cameraman in Raj Sippy's Shehzaadi in the year 1989, went onto do additional photography in Ghajini . As of date, he was working as the DoP for Neeraj Pandey's Special Chabbis and Vikas Bahl's Queen. Talking about Bobby, Mahesh Bhatt (who had worked with him in films like Gangster, Woh Lamhe and Jannat 2) said that it was a dark Christmas for him. His aforementioned films possessed that extra dimension because of his cinematic genius.

Bobby is survived by Radhika (his wife) and Sumer (his five-year-old son).

Commenting on Bobby's untimely demise Akshay posted, "Shocked to hear about the sad demise of our film, Special 26's cinematographer, Bobby Singh's sudden demise. He was very talented and pleasant to work with. It just seems like yesterday when we were shooting...May his soul rest in peace."
