Whoa! Amitabh Bachchan reunites with K3G costar Kajol for Helicopter Eela

Last week, we got a fun glimpse of the Pradeep Sarkar directorial Helicopter Eela featuring Kajol in the lead. The actor plays a single mother to National Award winning Bengali star Riddhi Sen in this film about parenting. And now another update is that it will Kajol reuniting with her Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham aka K3G costar Amitabh Bachchan after a long gap. For the uninitiated, Kajol was last seen sharing screen space with Amitabh Bachchan in Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna which featured her in a cameo. She was only seen grooving to a portion of the track in the film. In fact, Amitabh too will be seen in a guest appearance in Helicopter Eela.He is expected to feature in an integral role for an important sequence in the film. However, further details on his role are being kept under wraps. The filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar revealed in recent reports that they required him to be a part of a particular scene in the film and that the megastar agreed to do it instantly. Sarkar added that he already shares a great camaraderie with Amitabh and the latter is also quite close with Kajol and her actor hubby Ajay Devgn.Also, the filmmaker mentioned that the shoot will not be longer than a day since it is a small scene. However, he also maintained that since it is a cameo they had to plan everything in advance. For the uninitiated, Pradeep Sarkar and Amitabh Bachchan have worked together in films like Vidya Balan s debut Parineeta and Eklavya.In Parineeta , Amitabh had given a voiceover. Speaking of Helicopter Eela , the film is an adaptation of the Gujarati play Beta Kaagdo. The film also stars Neha Dhupia in an important role and is slated to release on September 7, 2018.
