Kamal Haasan lodges police complaint

In a bid to protect theatres that would be screening his forthcoming film Vishwaroopam, Kamal Haasan has gone ahead and lodged a police complaint with ADGP (Law & Order) after he received threatening calls stating that electricity supply in such theatres will be suspended and the film will be pirated.

Haasan also went and met up with Tamil Nadu State Home Secretary R. Rajagopal expressing his concern. The actor's ambitious project got embroiled in controversy after Haasan decided to premiere the film on various D2H platforms on January 10, a day prior to its theatrical release on Jan 11.
