Will Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika make it on schedule?

25 January 2019 is thefinal release date being set aside for the releaseoftheRani Lakshmibai biopic, Manikarnika The Queen Of Jhansi .But will thefilm make it on time? Whispers from in and around this expensive historicaldramasuggest thatthe film may not makeit on time after all. Oneofthe actorstold this writer, Theres a whole lot of work still pending. The post-production andthe special effects are far from done. There arebig epic-scaled battle sequences which requirea lot ofCGs (computer graphics). Also,Kanganainsisted on re-shooting someofbattle sequences after she took over thedirection. This proved costly andtime-consuming, as the shooting andspecial affects hadto be done again. So I dont know if the film will make it (on schedule). Interestingly, thebuzz around the other bigbio-pic Super 30 for Republic Day is that it too is not ready forrelease and may not make it in theatreson time, a rumour strongly refutedby the films producers. The delay rumours arenot the only similarities betweenthe two Republic Dayreleasesof 2019. Both Manikarnika and Super 30 are bio-pics. Inboth, theoriginaldirector hadto be relieved of his duties. In Super 30 ,directorVikasBahlwasshown the door for allegations of sexualmisconduct. For Manikarnika , directorKrishwas asked to go when the films leading ladyKanganafelt shewas morequalified to take controlof the project. Wouldboth these ambitious troubled wannabe epics make it on schedule on January 25? Orwould only one of them finally limp into theatres? If so, which one?
