Mallika Sherawat and K.C. Bokadia receive death threats

30 Jan 2013

Mallika Sherawat, who had been out of the news buzz-stop for some time now, is back in the news. This time round, she has reportedly received death threats for acting in the K.C. Bokadia directed film Dirty Politics, that's based on contentious Bhanwari Devi case.

Speaking about this, Sherawat said that besides her, even her brother received a call that warned her to stay away from doing this film. Meanwhile, K.C. Bokadia said that even he has received lots of threatening calls. He added that even though he has been inspired by the Bhanwari Devi case, he has presented it in his own style.

For the uninitiated, Bhanwari Devi was a Rajasthan-based nurse who was killed in the year 2011. This case became sensational because it included the names of almost seventeen people, including former Rajasthan Minister's Mahipal Maderna, amongst the accused.
