Emraan Hashmi to essay the role of IAF officer KC Kuruvilla in his next film Vayusena

Emraan Hashmi has been choosing pretty interesting roles lately. The actor recently wrapped up Rumi Jaffreys Chehre which also stars Amitabh Bachchan in the leading role. As he is moving on to his next project, the actor will now be essaying the role of IAF officer KC Kuruvilla in his next film Vayusena.The film will be helmed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte. Emraan Hashmi will be stepping into the role of Retd Air Commodore Kariyadil Cheriyan Kuruvilla. It will be a start-to-finish schedule which will begin in November 2019. The makers have written to the government to seek permission to shoot at the real locations with the fighter planes. The director, Vijay Ratnakar Gutte, said that Emraan Hashmi hasnt played such roles before and loves to do such things. The actor gave a nod to the film instantly. He said that it is a human story which begins with the 1971 Indo-Pak war and ends with 1999 Indo-Pak Kargil war. He said that they plan to shoot the film on real locations, especially the airbase. They are expecting a positive response from the government regarding permissions. According to the official Indian Aircraft Data, In 1972, during the Indo-Pak war in December, Flying Officer Kariyadil Cheriyan Kuruvilla served with a Fighter Bomber Squadron in the Western Sector. On December 4, 1971, the officer carried out a strike mission over Chander airfield and successfully attacked enemy aircraft on ground and airfield installations. On December 5, 1971, he flew another strike mission over Chistian Mandi, scored a direct hit on the engine of a train and inflicted heavy damages to the train despite the intensive Anti-aircraft fire. Again, on December 6, 1971, he undertook another strike mission over Dera Baba Nanak area and attacked enemy tank concentrations. During this attack, while making a second pass over the target, his aircraft was hit by the enemy anti-aircraft fire and crashed. However, he survived the crashed.
