Bhaag Milkha Bhaag to benefit Milkha's charity

The upcoming Farhan Akhtar film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag which promises to be a true blood sporting feature has been in the headlines for a while now. The latest on the film is that the producers Viacomm 18 and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra have promised to donate Rs. 5 crores of the film's earnings to former Olympian Milkha Singh's charity, if the film manages to yield any profit at the box office.

Earlier, the makers of the film had announced that they would be donating a part of the film's profits which approximated to 20 percent to the charity. However, that has since been changed to a definite figure of Rs. 5 crore, with an understanding that if the film does fare better than expected, the contribution towards the charity will also go up.

Singh's charity basically works for the empowerment of women in rural areas.
