SAW's release deferred in Pakistan

4 May 2013

While on one hand, Sanjay Gupta's gangster flick Shootout At Wadala has opened to positive response at the Box-Office in India, the same cannot be said about the film's fate in Pakistan. The reason being the film has hit a road block in Pakistan because their Censor Board has delayed the film's release there in lieu of Muslim's sentiments.

Buzz is that the deciding authorities found the steamy scenes between John and Kangna as well as the Sunny Leone's 'Laila' track objectionable. Talking about this, Tanuj Garg, CEO of Balaji Motion Pictures, says, "We have been informed by our distributors about the situation prevailing there. The film is now going to be reviewed by the Censor Board there. Meanwhile, for us as well the audiences in Pakistan, it's a wait and watch situation."
