Chennai Express to release in Egypt

After the political turmoil that affected the people of Egypt, there is some good news for them. Indian films are all set to release in the country starting off with Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chennai Express . Commenting on the release Amrita Pandey, Executive Director, Syndication, International distribution, Disney Media Distribution - Studios, Disney UTV says, " Chennai Express has found phenomenal success across International markets, but what is really great is to see it find resonance and wide releases in non-traditional territories. Adding to the list which includes - Peru, Morocco, Israel, France and Germany is Egypt. The film released on October 2, in Cairo and Alexandria across 10 screens. We are excited about this and hope that the film performs well in Egypt as it has in other such territories." Adding to Amrita's views Antoine Zeind, UMP Distribution, Egypt says, "It is heartening to announce that Indian Films which were out of the Egyptian radar screens are back with a bang in theaters with Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chennai Express on October 2, 2013. Indian stars and films enjoy a lot of goodwill amongst Egyptians."
