Krishna Shah passes away in LA

18 Oct 2013

Not many may know Krishna Shah by his name, but his contribution to the Indian cinema will always be etched in gold. He is the man who made the Dharmendra- Zeenat Aman starrer Shalimar (which also marked the Bollywood debut of English actor Rex Harrison), India's first international film. The sad news is that the 75 year old man has now set for heavenly abode on October 13 in Los Angeles.

Besides Shalimar , this UCLA and Yale graduate also made Hard Rock Zombies and was also a member of the Director's Branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, USA.

Shah, who had been keeping ill after suffering a stroke last year, was busy planning a biopic on the late Indira Gandhi. He is survived by his wife and son.

Bollywood Hungama offers its whole hearted condolences to the departed soul's family and pray that his soul rest in eternal peace.
