Milan Luthria's next on Aarushi murder case

18 Oct 2013

After making The Dirty Picture, Milan Luthria seems to have found yet another hard hitting topic for his next Bollywood outing. This time round, it's the till-now-controversial-and-unsolved double murder case of the Delhi based teenager Aarushi Talwar and Hemraj.

Even though the said film, that's to be made under his banner Vertex Motion Pictures, will not have him directing the film, but will be the creative producer. Talking about his choice of the subject that inspired him to make the film, he says that it was indeed a classic whodunit case that's been going on for the last five years, but nobody knows what exactly happened on that unfortunate night that led to the twin murder. Milan adds that it is a story that's been waiting to be told. Milan and his team will be doing thorough research for the film. He wishes to sensitively explore the case, without exaggerating anything and is also following the case closely so that the film's script will reflect the case proceedings.

The man penning the story is none other than Rajat Aroraa (who had earlier written The Dirty Picture). While the film is scheduled to go on floor next year, its casting is expected to be finalized by December this year.

Readers may recall that, on May 16, 2008, a teenager named Aarushi Talwar (then aged 14 years) was found mysteriously murdered at her parents' Noida residence. And on the very next day, their domestic help Hemraj's body was also mysteriously found on the terrace of the same building.
