Celeb memorabilia to be auctioned for The Foundation

For most of us acquiring a piece of memorabilia that belonged to one of our favourite celebs is quite like a dream. Well, soon this will be possible with Rahul Bose's NOG, The Foundation all set to auction certain items to raise money off at an event titled The Idea of India.

Apparently, Rahul had approached Javed Akhtar for the same, on hearing the actor's petition the Akhtar donated some Urdu poetry and Krishna bhajans written by his grandfather Muztar Khairabadi, and romantic verses by his father Jan Nisar Akhtar, along with writings describing his dreams of an independent India.

What's more Akhtar also got his kids, Farhan and Zoya to donate their poetic works, while Shabana Azmi will be donating her gold medal that she won at the FTII, along with the bundi (jacket) worn by Aamir Khan in Lagaan.

In total the auction will see 16 memorabilia contributed by 16 iconic Indian from diverse fields will be auctioned to reinforce the idea of India as a secular, inclusive and democratic country.
