It seems the Chopra sisters are destined to collide. Last year on 5th September, the feisty first-cousins Priyanka and Parineeti Chopra collided at the box office with Zanjeer and Shuddh Desi Romance , respectively. Back then it was Parineeti who walked away with all the revenues Looks like the sisters are destined to clash again. News comes that the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali -Viacom 18's production Mary Kom is being pre-poned. The Olympian boxer's bio-pic was earlier scheduled for October 2. But with the Hrithik Roshan starrer Bang Bang and Vishal Bhardwaj's Haider occupying the coveted 3-day weekend Friday of Gandhi Jayanti, Mary Kom is being rush-released on September 5. The same Friday as Parineeti Chopra's long-awaited Daawat-e-Ishq. Her first with co-star Aditya Roy Kapur and second with director Habib Faisal.

Interestingly, while Mary Kom is being released ahead of schedule, the release of Daawat-e-Ishq has been delayed by many months. It was earlier scheduled for 9 May.

The sudden arrival of Mary Kom on September 5 has taken the Daawat-e-Ishq team completely by surprise. A source from Yash Raj Films said unofficially, "We have no clue about this. We announced our release many months ago. So whoever chooses to jump in now is doing so out of the queue. Our best wishes to them." Interestingly Priyanka Chopra is currently shooting in Istanbul for Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do and can only give time for the publicity and promotion of Mary Kom in August. "And that's really cutting it close, we know," says a member of the Mary Kom team. "Priyanka is the only face of Mary Kom . She is the film's hero. Only she can promote the film. We are counting on the month of August to take us safely into our release on September 5." As for Daawat-e-Ishq, Parineeti can seek comfort in the food factor.

Mary Kom is about self-control, abstinence and dieting.

Daawat-e-Ishq is about food and its indulgence. They are two different worlds and hardly likely to pose as competition for one another.
