Choreographer turned director Remo D'Souza took dance films in Bollywood to a different level with ABCD: Any Body Can Dance, and now the filmmaker is working on its sequel. While the first installment had dance winners from reality shows playing prominent roles, the second one will feature A-list Bollywood celebrities like Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor.

Riding high on the success of Ek Villain , Shraddha Kapoor recently resumed the shooting of ABCD 2 and the actress will be seen in the role of an ace dancer. However, during rehearsals, we hear that Shraddha Kapoor suffered a muscle pull and the actress has been advised two weeks of bed rest. We also hear that the actress has spending her time at home watching dance films in order to prepare for her character in the film.

This will be the first time that childhood friends Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor will come together for a film.

The prequel of the film had Prabhu Dheva playing the role of a dance teacher, who leaves the dance company started by his friend (Kay Kay Menon) and establishes his own class, where he teaches new forms of dance to the talented street dancers. This installment had Salman Yusuf Khan (winner of Dance India Dance), Lauren Gotlieb (Participant of So You Think You Can Dance), Dharmesh (Contestant in Dance India Dance) playing leads among others.

Though the sequel maintains its previous star cast of Prabhu Dheva and Lauren, many new actors will be added to film and a major portion of the film will be shot abroad too. Inspired from the true story of an Indian dance troupe that participated in the world Hip Hop Championships, ABCD 2 will be shot extensively in Las Vegas, with over 10 songs and extravagant dance sequences.
