Shreyas Talpade's Poshter Boyz faces piracy trouble

13 Aug 2014

Bollywood and Marathi cinema actor Shreyas Talpade recently ventured into production and direction with Poshter Boyz but now we hear that his debut film as a director became a victim of piracy. Apparently, his film is being sold through pirated DVDs.

A miffed Shreyas registered a complaint with Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria at the anti piracy cell recently. Shreyas stated that being co-operative, the Police Commissioner immediately decided to take action against the culprits and currently an investigation is going on to track down the accused. He has even alerted the police force throughout the state of Maharashtra.

Moreover, Shreyas Talpade himself has started his own search for the criminals but he maintained they do not have any suspects as of now. Though the director-producer claimed that they haven't incurred too much of losses as yet since the movie is still running packed in theatres, he is sure that the culprits should be punished severely.

This is not the only film that has faced piracy issues. Yet another Marathi film that faced piracy at a large scale is Lai Bhaari . Lai Bhaari had many Bollywood elements in it considering that the film marked the debut of Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh in Marathi. The actor had also roped in many Bollywood actors like Tanvi Azmi as a part of Lai Bhaari. However, the film succumbed to piracy after it was declared as one of the biggest blockbusters in Marathi cinema owing to its wide reach.

Produced under the banner of Affluence Movies Pvt. Ltd, Shreyas Talpade's Poshter Boyz stars Dilip Prabhavalkar, Aniket Vishwasrao, Hrishikesh Joshi, Pooja Sawant, Neha Joshi among others.
