Nikhil then confided that he wanted to use a song (a Punjabi ballad that's penned by Kummar and composed by Jassi Katia) whose rights were with Karan, who was planning to use it in one of his upcoming film. After thinking for a while, Karan Johar agreed to give the song to Nikhil Advani.

Speaking about the said track, Karan Johar said that he had kept that song to be used in the future. But since Nikhil Advani needed an intense romantic song for his film, he immediately shared it with him, as Nikhil and his producer partners Madhu and Monisha were extremely dear friends of Karan. On the other hand, an elated Nikhil Advani said that Karan very well understood that the requirement of that song in the specific scene in his film and that he was generous enough to let him use that. While the Hero's remake marks the acting debut of Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty and is being produced by Salman Khan's 'Being Human Productions', news is abuzz that the remake would be thoroughly different from the original.
