Chitrangda to perform live for Joker

The upcoming Shirish Kunder film Joker, starring Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Shreyas Talpade, Minissha Lamba and others has been in the news. Now we hear that the makers of the film have come up with an innovative promotional campaign.

Sources close to the production tell us, "UTV has tremendous faith in the film, hence even the promotions of the film will be planned on a big scale. In fact soon people will be spotting aliens in the country."

"Apart from the aliens, UTV feels that the audio tracks of the film will be a high selling point, besides there is also Chitrangda's item song, 'Kafirana'. For that, the promotions will be really big, in fact she will be doing live shows in Mumbai and Delhi. But the interesting part is that these will be Chitrangda's first ever live stage performances", says the source.

Elaborating on the shows in the two cities, the source says, "For Chitrangda, we will be have stand along shows like song promotion events or something else. Besides this UTV, hasn't yet decided whether they are doing road shows of going to a GEC for the same, but rest assured that the promotions are literally going to be out of this world."

Joker which is co-produced by Hari Om Entertainment, Three's Company and UTV Motion Pictures release August 31, 2012.
