Taapsee Pannu, Irrfan Khan cast in Sunderkhand

After signing Neeraj Pandey's thriller Baby , Taapsee Pannu has now signed yet another film titled Sunderkhand . The actress who made her debut in Bollywood with Chashme Baddoor, a remake of the 1981 classic by the same name, will now be paired with National Award winner Irrfan Khan in her next.

Shailesh Singh, who has previously produced films like Tanu Weds Manu and the more recent Shahid , has come on board as a producer for Sunderkhand. The film will also mark the debut of Priya Mishra in Bollywood as a director. Priya has previously worked as a creative head for a television channel. Though the film is primarily a love story of two cops played by Taapsee and Irrfan in a place surrounded by crime, Priya mentioned that it is inspired from real life incidents. She even revealed that the story is based on the real life of her brother and her sister-in-law who are a part of the police force.

This edgy romance between cops will be shot in Uttar Pradesh and it is slated to go on floor in the first week of October.

Irrfan Khan is currently busy with films like Tigmanshu Dhulia's Yaara starring Amit Sadh, Shoojit Sircar's Piku alongside Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan and Reema Kagti's Divine Lovers opposite Kangna Ranaut. On the other hand, Taapsee Pannu will soon be seen with Amit Sadh in Shoojit Sircar's Running Shaadi.com and with Akshay Kumar in Neeraj Pandey's Baby .
