Arjun Rampal to play Arun Gawli in Daddy

Last seen in D-Day , Arjun Rampal has now signed yet another film titled Daddy which will be produced by Mandar Dalvi. The actor is said to portray the role inspired from gangster turned politician Arun Gawli in the film and now we hear that the actor will even visit Mr. Gawli in order to play the role with conviction.

Arjun Rampal also revealed that he will have to undergo physical training to play the role of Arun Gawli. He mentioned that he will have to lose weight in order to get the physicality right. He further expressed his wish to meet Arun Gawli personally so that he can get the right advice on what he thinks about the film which in turn will help him work harder for it. Also maintaining that he will have to do a lot of homework for this role, he added that it is a huge responsibility to play a real life character on screen and one needs to get the nuances of his personality right to justify the character on screen.

Directed by Gaurav Bavdankar, Daddy is slated to go on floor in October. Currently, Arjun Rampal is busy shooting for Roy which also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Ranbir Kapoor.

It is also being said that Arjun Rampal will also play a prominent role in Soni Razdan's Love Affair. Apparently, Arjun will be seen playing the role of Prem Ahuja who was murdered by K M Nanavati after his illicit affair with Nanavati's English born wife Sylvia.
