Saif Ali Khan and Kangna Ranaut starrer titled Mr. Chaalu

After the disastrous Humshakals , it seems that Saif Ali Khan has now started to play safe as far as his films and onscreen characters are concerned. The film which he has reportedly signed now is called Mr. Chaalu, wherein he plays a manipulative womanizer. While the film is being produced by Excel Entertainment, it is being directed by Reema Kagti.

If the reports are to be believed, then, Saif's character in the film is penciled on the lines of what he had earlier played in films like Kal Ho Na Ho, Dil Chahta Hai , and Salaam Namaste. His character is that of a smoothoperator, who, with the help of his impeccable charms, weaves his way into a woman's heart with the promise of marrying her, only to dupe her later. But the entry of the fiery and smarter-than-him Kangna Ranaut in his life changes it forever.

The film is supposed to be shot in Mumbai and Goa and is expected to go on the floors on January 15 next year and should be ready for release by mid-next year.

Currently, Saif Ali Khan is busy wrapping up his other commitments that include Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D K's Happy Ending starring Ileana D'Cruz and Kalki Koechlin and Kabir Khan's Phantom, an action thriller alongside Katrina Kaif.

On the other hand, Kangna Ranaut too has her hands full with Sai Kabir's Divine Lovers opposite Irrfan Khan, Anand L.Rai's Tanu Weds Manu sequel and Nikhil Advani's urban love story Katti Batti with Imran Khan.
