Pooja Bhatt to act after 13 years in Reema Kagti's Mr. Chaalu

She ruled the hearts of many in the 90s with her performance in films like Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahin, Phir Teri Yaad Aayi, Zakhm and many others which were some of her father Mahesh Bhatt's best films till date. But after staying away from the silver screen for more than a decade, Pooja Bhatt is all set to be back with a bang.

Last seen in the role of Tanya in the Rahul Bose directorial Everybody Says I'm Fine (2001), the actress hasn't faced the camera for a while. Now, we hear that Pooja Bhatt is finally ready for her second innings in acting once again. Though the actress has kept herself busy with production and direction, Pooja Bhatt will be seen playing the role of detective in Reema Kagti's next Mr. Chaalu. Producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar are the ones who will be bringing Pooja Bhatt on the screen once again.

Talking about how she was approached for the role, Pooja mentioned that Ritesh had messaged her asking her if she would still want to act. Knowing the frank behavior of the actress, Pooja too firmly replied that once an actor, always an actor and decided to do the film. Elaborating on the role she will be playing, Pooja Bhatt revealed that her role will be that of a no nonsense detective. Her character will enter the film just before the interval but she will remain in the film till the end.

Mr. Chaalu has Saif Ali Khan playing the role of a suave Casanova who likes to win over women with his charm. While Kangna Ranaut will be the female lead playing Saif's love interest, Richa Chadda too will be seen in the film as one of Saif's girlfriends.

Directed by Reema Kagti, Mr. Chaalu will be extensively shot in Mumbai and Goa and it is slated to go on floor in January, 2015.
