Akshay Kumar's Entertainment gets its due amongst family audience, gains superb TRP

This had to happen sooner or later. As is the saying, a good film does find its audience eventually. This is what has happened with Akshay Kumar's Entertainment as well which has now got its due amongst the family audience. On its recently held satellite premier, the Sajid-Farhad directed affair has fetched a very good TRP of 5.5.

Says producer Ramesh Taurani, "All our films are very satellite friendly, so this is not at all surprising. Apart from Entertainment , every other film of ours, whether it is Ramaiya Vastavaiya or Phata Poster Nikhla Hero , has done very well on satellite channels." The comedy, which told the story of a bond between Akshay and a canine, had fetched good reviews for itself when released this August and had managed a reasonably sustained run due to positive word of mouth. Also, it stays on to be quite popular amongst children who were also the target audience for the film.

"Well, we did 75 crores in India but were always confident that it would have a long run on the small screen for sure. We are very happy that it is getting its right due. The film would enjoy many re-runs on satellite as families love such clean entertainment," he adds.

Meanwhile, even on the home video front, the movie is doing brisk business with the DVDs fetching good sales.
