8 Dec 2014

December is here and the long wait for the Aamir Khan starrer PK just got shorter. While the media and the audience have been eagerly awaiting the release of the film, PK team has begun publicity for the film. Now we hear that the Rajkumar Hirani directed film, that made waves thanks to its controversial first look, has been cleared by the censor board with a UA certificate.

Though the film has received its censor clearance, we hear that the makers of this 153 mins long film have decided on forgoing the usual process of showing the film to their friends from the trade and distribution circles and also the media. In fact it is learnt that contrary to the norm of hosting screenings for the insiders prior to the release, the makers of PK will not feature any advance screenings citing that since the film has certain surprise elements in it, hosting a screening prior to its release will affect the overall anticipation and suspense surrounding PK . PK, which is directed by Rajkumar Hirani, features Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Boman Irani, Saurabh Shukla and Sanjay Dutt. Produced by Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra the film is slated for release on December 19.
