Kabir Bedi to play villain in Hrithik Roshan starrer Mohenjo Daro

Ashutosh Gowariker's much ambitious project Mohenjo Daro, is still in the initial stages of production. And now we hear that yet another name has been added to the lead cast and it is none other than Kabir Bedi. The veteran actor will be seen in the role of a villain in the film.

Kabir Bedi who is known for his villainous roles since his young days which includes films like Khoon Bhari Maang , will yet again play the antagonist in this period drama. Though the actor hasn't revealed any details of his character, he mentioned that his role as the chief villain is powerful and thrilling. Revealing about his association with Kabir Bedi, filmmaker and producer Ashutosh Gowariker stated that Kabir has been in his wish-list for a long time and it was Kabir's performance in the play 'Tughlaq' and film Octupussy that impressed him the most. Moreover, he added that Kabir's charisma and towering presence will make him the perfect villain. It is being said that Kabir Bedi despite his international commitments, confirmed to do the film and has already allotted dates for the shoot.

Set against the backdrop of the Harappan civilization, Mohenjo Daro is said to be a love story between Hrithik Roshan and debutant Pooja Hegde. We also hear that the film will have high octane stunts and hence, Hrithik is undergoing fitness training. Produced under the banner AGPPL in association with UTV Disney, Mohenjo Daro is slated to release on January 22, 2016.
