John Abraham injures his back while shooting Welcome Back

Driving in the desert can be an exhilarating experience; however for John Abraham it was all but fun. In fact we hear that John, who was shooting for the climax sequence of Anees Bazmee's Welcome Back, hurt his back while driving in a desert in Dubai.

Apparently, John Abraham was supposed to drive an SUV in the desert for a car chase sequence with other vehicles coming towards him. Unfortunately at one point John braked his vehicle so hard that his back bore the brunt of an intense jerk spraining it. Due to this John was in excruciating pain, so much so that the actor could barely sit up.

While a doctor was rushed to the spot, John Abraham had to undergo a couple of physiotherapy sessions combined with pain killers before completing the sequence. Though currently the actor is in much better shape, he has been advised complete rest, and to avoid picking up any heavy objects.

Welcome Back, also stars Shruti Haasan, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, and Dimple Kapadia in prominent roles and is produced by Firoz Nadiadwala.

Welcome Back is slated to release on May 29, 2015.
