"I'm fine now" - Sonam Kapoor

13 Feb 2015

Sonam Kapoor was hospitalized earlier this week when she suffered a respiratory infection on the sets of Sooraj Barjatya's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo . Sonam who posted a picture of herself on a social networking site with drips in her hands, is now out of hospital. Speaking after being discharged from hospital the uber-chic actress said, "It was basically a respiratory infection and para-typhoid .I was in hospital for four days." Infuriatingly, Sonam's father Anil was in Los Angeles when she was unwell.

Sighs Sonam, "He was naturally very worried when he heard I was in hospital. It's not a nice thing for a father to hear his daughter is unwell when he's not in the country. I had no intentions of going public about my health setback. But then for some technical reasons I had to put a picture up of me in hospital. My father has been messaging me every day non-stop." Concerned friends feel Sonam has been excessively dieting. "Not at all. I've stopped dieting. I eat well. And I sleep well. Such things do happen." The one most concerned by Sonam's state of health was her co-star Salman Khan.

"He is one of the kindest most considerate co-stars I've worked with. He keeps an eye on me, asks if I am okay when I am quiet. We had worked together in my first film Saawariya . I guess he has been protective of me since then." Sonam is now back to work. On Wednesday she was back shooting for Barjatya's films, and also attended an awards function in the evening.
