Katrina Kaif's co-stars are getting younger

After 45-plus Salman Khan, Shah Rukh and Aamir Khan, the image-conscious Katrina Kaif is suddenly working with heroes her own age...and then younger.

It's Ranbir Kapoor in her next release Jagga Jasoos who is the same age as Katrina Kaif. But after that, Katrina will be seen with Aditya Roy Kapur in Abhishek Kapoor's Fitoor who is two years her junior, followed by Sidharth Malhotra a year younger than Katrina in Farhan Akhtar-Ritesh Sidhwani's production to be directed by Nitya Mehra.

Katrina, we are told, would also be doing a film with Ranveer Singh, a few years her junior, in the near future.

According to a director-friend of the actress, "It was a conscious decision for her to work with the newer breed of heroes, just like Kareena Kapoor worked with Imran Khan after she reached 30. It's an age-old strategy. Heroines like Meena Kumari, Nanda and Mala Sinha worked with leading men younger to them."
