Matrimonial service files suit against makers of Welcome Back

11 May 2015

The much awaited film Welcome Back we hear has yet again hit another road block. After the constant change in the release date of the film, we now hear that a matrimonial firm Sycoriaan Matrimonial Services has filed a legal suit against the makers of the film.

According to the complaint filed, the firm states that they had paid producer Firoz Nadiadwala a sum of Rs. 15 lakhs for branding in Welcome Back. Apparently, a contract had been drawn up between the two (Nadiadwala and Sycoriaan) stipulating that the latter would recreate their office set up in Dubai or Mumbai where Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar discuss the marriage of their sister Shruti Hassan, with a Sycoriaan staff in the film. However, despite the shoot being completed, the said sequence was not shot.

Raspreet Singh Saluja, senior operations manager of Sycoriaan, confirmed the same saying that the firm had sent a legal notice to the producers of Welcome Back after their repeated attempts to get in touch with them were in vain.
