Tabu replaces Rekha in Fitoor

27 May 2015

Abhishek Kapoor's next Fitoor, has been in the news since the film commenced shooting earlier this year. However now we hear that the cast of the film has undergone a major change. In fact we hear that Rekha, who was to play the character of Miss Havisham in Kapoor's adaptation of Charles Dicken's novel Great Expectations, has walked out of the film.

Apparently, Rekha chose to walk out of the film since she was unhappy with the rushes of the film shown to her. When she approached the production house regarding her decision, the makers of the film went into tizzy. However, the day was saved when the Haider actress, Tabu accepted to play the role. The problem however now is that Rekha's sequences will have to be reshot with Tabu, Aditya and Katrina and getting the dates of the lead actors isn't going to be easy.

Fitoor that features Aditya Roy Kapur and Katrina Kaif in the lead, also has Aditi Rao Hydari, Akshay Oberoi, Talat Aziz and Lara Dutta playing prominent roles. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor and produced by UTV-Disney, Fitoor is also slated to release on February 12, 2016.
