Salman Khan to play a dwarf in Aanand L. Rai's next

Aanand L.Rai who is riding high on the stupendous success of Tanu Weds Manu Returns, will soon be collaborating with none other than superstar Salman Khan. The director and actor were supposed to start the film long ago, however, later speculations had it that Salman is quitting the film. However, rubbishing the rumours, Aanand clarified that he is indeed in process of starting the untitled project with the actor.

Elaborating on the role played by Salman Khan in his upcoming directorial, the filmmaker revealed that the actor will be playing a dwarf in the film which is set amidst the backdrop of rural India. While Rai appreciated Salman's desi avatars in his films and how he can connect with the audience through it, the filmmaker added that he will start the scripting for the film soon.

Considering that Salman Khan is busy with his other commitments, Aanand also mentioned that this film in question is currently in an initial stage and he can talk about in details only after a couple of months.

From what we hear, Aanand L. Rai will also be remaking the Tamil blockbuster Kalyana Samayal Saadham starring Imran Khan and Shruti Haasan.
