Anupam Kher opts out of Jazbaa, Jackie Shroff roped in

The veteran actor Anupam Kher, who was in the news recently because of his play Mera Woh Matlab Nahi Tha , was all set to work with Sanjay Gupta in the much talked about film Jazbaa. However, the present day status is that, Anupam Kher is no longer doing the film.

The film's co-producer Nitin Keni reasoned that there were lots of shuffling of dates from their end. When Bollywood Hungama spoke to Anupam Kher, he said, "We were not able to match up with each other's' availability of dates. But, I am hopeful of working with Sanjay Gupta in the near future." Meanwhile, news is that Jackie Shroff has now been roped in for the role, which Anupam Kher was supposed to do.

Directed by Sanjay Gupta, Jazbaa is written by Kamlesh Pandey and Robin Bhatt and has cinematography by Sameer Arya. The film has been in the news because this is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's comeback film, in which she will be seen playing a lawyer. Besides Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the film also has Irrfan Khan, Shabana Azmi, Abhimanyu Singh, Atul Kulkarni and Chandan Roy Sanyal. The film will also see Aishwarya Rai Bachchan performing some of death-defying stunts for the first time in her entire film career.
