Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol's train scene to be recreated in Dilwale?

30 Jun 2015

Last year, Yash Raj Films made headlines after Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge completed 1000 weeks in a Mumbai theatre. Now we hear that Rohit Shetty whose next film Dilwale will feature the lead pair of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, will also have a scene that pays homage to DDLJ.

In fact, reports suggest that the train sequence in DDLJ that featured Shah Rukh Khan chasing a train to climb aboard and reaching out to give Kajol a hand, will be recreated in Dilwale. Apparently, the said sequence in the currently underproduction venture will feature SRK running after a tram which crosses Lion's Bridge in Bulgaria and then giving a hand to Kajol.

However, while the makers of the film do not deny shooting a train sequence for the film, they state that it was not shot as homage to DDLJ. Commenting on the same Rohit Shetty says, "Yes, we have shot a sequence in the train but it is not a recreation of the DDLJ train sequence." While this sequence recreation takes paying homage to the next level, Dilwale that is directed by Rohit Shetty also stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Rohit Shetty Productions, the film that went on floor on March 20 in Mumbai is looking for a Christmas release this year.
