Hrithik Roshan to host TV show on real-life heroes

11 Jul 2015

Hrithik Roshan has so far kept a distance from television despite several tempting offers. The Bang Bang superstar is all set to set the small screen ablaze from October onwards.

Hrithik Roshan will be hosting a show on real-life heroes on 'Discovery Channel'. Entitled ' Real Heroes', the series will focus on people who have overcome all odds to become heroes.

Says an informed source, "Hrithik has himself been a real-life hero. He had a speech deficiency during his childhood and growing up years, which he overcame through intense voice exercises and willpower. Hrithik immediately connected with the show's concept and theme. And agreed to come on board." Apparently, the first episode to be aired in the last week of September or the first week of October will feature wrestler Sangram Singh who virtually dragged himself out of a wheelchair after a crippling accident to become an Olympics champ.

Says the source, "The series is deeply motivational. That's why Hrithik Roshan has agreed to come on board for 'Real Heroes'. Of course, the zeroes on the pay check helped."
