10 Aug 2015

Kangna Ranaut, who got endless appreciation for her double role in Tanu Weds Manu Returns, is already being considered to be the best actress for her role and may be honoured for the same.

While she has been invited to the prestigious Melbourne film festival, the officials and jury there also want to present her with the 'Best Actress' award for her role in the film. A source said, "The Melbourne Film Festival wants to present Kangna with the Best Actress award for Tanu Weds Manu Returns . Kangna and the entire cast of Katti Batti have been invited to the festival. Though she will be gracing the event, she has politely declined the award." It's a known fact that Kangna Ranaut doesn't believe in awards and has never accepted any in India as well. For the festival, while she will be accompanied by her colleagues, the other Bollywood celebrities who will be attending the same include Anil Kapoor who will be hoisting the Indian National Flag on August 15 along with daughter Sonam Kapoor. Vidya Balan, who is the face of the Indian Film Festival in Melbourne, will be addressing the issue of gender equality during the festival this time.
