Readers may be aware that Aamir Khan and his team are currently in Punjab shooting for the film Dangal, which is based on the life of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phoghat. Aamir, who plays the protagonist, will soon be shifting to a village named Dango, located in the Ludhiana district to continue with the shoot of the film.

Interestingly, Dango in the Pakhowal Tehsil, Ludhiana, is also the ancestral village of veteran superstar Dharmendra. We hear that when Aamir Khan found out about the Dharmendra connection, he immediately contacted the actor and the two even discussed the details of the film. While Dharmendra sent across his best wishes to Aamir, the perfectionist actor even promised to hold a special screening for Dharmendra.

Dangal, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by UTV in association with Aamir Khan Films, also stars Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra among others and is slated to release on December 23, 2016.
