Revealed: Farhan Akhtar plays father of a 7-year old son in Rock On 2, no romantic involvement with Shraddha Kapoor

Disappointing as this may seem to fans, Farhan Akhtar and Shraddha Kapoor have no romantic moments together in Rock On 2 ."In fact they don't even meet until interval point and that too, over music. Shraddha joins the original band members Farhan, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli as a new recruit. Farhan and Shraddha interact over music, and nothing else. There are 10 songs in the film," says a source.

7 years have passed since we first met the characters from Rock On. Farhan is married to Prachi Desai and they have a 7-year old son.

Says director Shujaat Saudagar, "It's been 7 years...all characters are playing their age...hence all conflicts are internal and the battles lie within. The story continues from where we left off. But there are some new characters." Confirms the director, "Farhan and Shraddha's characters actually don't meet until a certain point in the story. When they do meet, it's because they are both musicians and its music which holds all the protagonists together. The essence of the plot is to bring out the dynamics of relationships that people share with each other through life...Human bonds that go beyond romance and love as we traditionally define them."
