Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Bajirao Mastani 's makers, Eros International had then sealed a deal with the single screen theatre owners during the release of the former stating that the single screens would be running only the period love story in their screen for at least a week after its release. However, recently after the theatre owners refused to abide by the contract, the miffed Bajirao Mastani makers moved the High Court in order to seek a solution. And now, the HC has decided to rule in favour of the single screen owners who have been asked to screen both big budget films - Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale . The much talked about clash of Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale has been making news ever since the announcement of their release dates. While both films have left no stone unturned in their promoting them strategically, it wasn't surprising to see them fight over screen space. With the constant pressure of breaking records and entering the 100-300 crore clubs and the popularity of Khans in Bollywood, ( Dilwale being a Shah Rukh Khan starrer) we hear that the makers weren't assured about finding takers in Bollywood. Hence, decided to sign a deal with single theatre owners in some of the most highly populated areas like Mumbai, Delhi, and Rajasthan among others.

Reacting on the decision of the High Court, the production house in its media statement said, "We have valid signed contracts and the court pointed out that we have recourse to damages on solo housefull basis. However we hope to settle amicably. We already have the showcasing as per our strategy and are getting very positive reactions for Bajirao Mastani from all over the world. We are confident our magnificent film will be a winner with the audiences."
