Preity Zinta to tie the knot with Gene Goodenough

Known for performances in films like Kal Ho Naa Ho and Veer Zaara, Preity Zinta has stayed away from the silverscreen for a while. However, she is now in news due to the continuous speculations about her wedding with her boyfriend Gene Goodenough.

Gene Goodenough, who is based in L.A, is the senior vice president of a US based company and has been friends with the actress for a long time. And now, the actress will be tying the knot with him in the U.S. Her spokesperson confirmed the news and also revealed that the actress will be auctioning her wedding pictures for charity. "The couple has decided to direct all the hype and anticipation surrounding their wedding into a charitable cause. They will be putting their private wedding images up for auction and the proceeds generated out of these will go towards the Preity Zinta Foundation. Preity's foundation works towards educating children and old age home rehabilitation. Preity has been involved in several charitable initiatives but has never spoken about it since she is an extremely private person. However, both she and Gene wanted to celebrate this joyous moment in their lives by giving back to society in their own little way," added a source.

The couple has plans to organize two different ceremonies which include a white wedding and big fat Rajput style Indian wedding. Preity apparently is also planning to host a lavish reception in Mumbai where her friends from the fraternity will be invited to celebrate the occasion. Though the dates haven't been finalized, the couple is said to tie the knot by the end of March or April.
